Heart Drawing Pattern Supplies

Step-by-Step Directions

1. Start by adding several heart on your paper or sketchbook. I kept mine mid-size around 2 inches in size.

2. Next, start to overlap the hearts slightly. You want to overlap them enough so that you have a large enough area to draw within the area that’s overlapped, but you don’t want to take over the entire heart.

3. Continue to draw overlapping hearts covering the entire paper or sketchbook spread.

4. Within the areas where the hearts are overlap, draw a petal design that meets in the center of the line you are starting from.

5. Next, color in the space around the petal design, making the background solid.

6. Color in remaining open area of each heart with a colored marker. I loved using acrylic brush paint pens for this project but any markers, colored pencils or crayons would work well too.

I used a rainbow color palette for my pattern design but you could use any variety of colors.
